Looked properly good in white and embassy plates as it overtook the queue of cars on the shoulder.

Nothing says “intimidation” like a full size GM SUV. Especially a LWB in black.
If a black Suburban is at your door, it’s either the FBI (or CSIS, if you’re Canadian), or the mafia. Either way, you should pack your bags.

I thought the RCMP were the FBI equivalent in Canada? This is not the case?

I’m used to the black ones going to the airport, they are nicer looking than the previous gen, but it’s so fucking big. I can’t park that shit anywhere in SF. Maybe in Montana, if I was there I would get an F250 crew.

You’re right. CSIS is our equivalent of the CIA or MI6. So, basically, far more scary than some mounties.
sm70- why not Duesenberg?

That’s exactly how they drive up here, too.

Very comfortable too, and faster than it has any right to be.

Idk, Mounties are pretty fucking scary when they want to be. Goofy uniforms aside.

My mom has one exactly like that but the bigger one, it is a fine automobile. It is slightly underpowered, but not as much as the rover

Much more than that. The RCMP are a full fledged national police force - they also do the jobs typically done by state police in the US, as well as our Capitol Police, and probably a bunch of other law enforcement agencies. The Canadian bureaucracy is nowhere near as sprawling.
